Antique Spode Stone China Staffordshire Imari Kakiemon Pattern 2117 Sugar Bowl

Description

An uncommon, early 19th-century stoneware lidded bowl by Spode with molded ring "handles" and decorated in an Imari color palette in the Kakiemon manner, pattern No. 2117.  It measures 5 3/8" in diameter by 2 5/8" high.  In fair to good antique condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs to the base but the lid has been cleanly broken in half and restuck by a former owner--worthy of a professional restoration. There is some light, expected surface wear from use.
