    Description

    This is  a SERVING PLATTER in the CAIRO Pattern from COPELAND SPODE. Cairo was one of their most poplular patterns in the 1880s and this piece has the IMPRESSED 1883 date.
    Made of Stoneware it is 12  X  8.5 ins with molded handles. It is 2 ins deep.
    Please note the Unique feature  of a PATTERN BORDER on the underside of the Dish. NOT common.
    There is some mild discoloration  around the rim on the front and  the underside  with two hairlines on the FOOT of the piece which I have tried to show in the photo. These are very short and contained in the foot.
    Considering its age I think it is in excellent condition.
    The pattern colors are strong and NO chips or cracks to be seen.
