    Description

MR-C2000 Commercial 2000 GPD Reverse Osmosis System
The APEX MR-C commercial-grade reverse osmosis water purification systems are suitable for food preparation operations like bakeries, coffee shops and restaurants as well as healthcare facilities and laboratories. The reverse osmosis system provides particle-free, mineral free mist water for supermarket produce displays, greenhouses and botanical gardens. The MR-C uses four stages of water filtration. The process starts with a 5-micron sediment filter that removes tiny particles like rust, silt and mineral scale. This prevents medical equipment, coffee makers, ice machines and other sensitive dispensing equipment from clogging. Next, the water flows through two stages of 10-micron activated carbon block cartridges. The carbon block filters remove taste and odor-causing chemicals like chlorine, chloramine, hydrogen sulfide and geosmin (earthy/musty taste & odors). The carbon cartridges also remove organic contaminants like herbicides, insecticides and THMs. The final filtration stage involves the reverse osmosis (RO) process. Here water is “squeezed” through a special membrane. Heavy metals, like lead and mercury, are removed while purified water passes through. The RO process also removes salts, nitrate, phosphate, fluoride, radon and benzene. Because water supplies often have low or variable water pressures, the MR-C comes with a rotary vane high-pressure pump to insure the filtration system works at maximum efficiency.
Inlet and outlet pressure gauges provide at-a-glance status of the system, indicating if the cartridges need to be replaced. The entire filtration system can be turned off or on with a flip of one switch. The straight-forward layout and operation of the MR-C makes it the ideal water purification system for nursing homes, educational facilities and residential buildings. Hydroponic growers will benefit from the purified low TDS water when mixing nutrient solutions. Aquarium wholesalers, retail shops and saltwater aquarists need high-purity nitrate, phosphate and heavy metal-free water for corals and sensitive fish. Wherever large quantities of high purity water are needed, the APEX MR-C reverse osmosis filtration system will do the job.
The MR-C series can be coupled with an optional ultraviolet disinfection unit that provides protection from bacteria, parasites, algae and virus contamination. We recommend installation by a licensed plumber to insure adherence to all local codes. Routine replacement of the filter cartridges is recommended to maintain filter performance. Replacement cartridges are available from APEX Water Filters.
